I'm Karmen Trice, entrepreneur, author, wife and mother of 2. I'm a software engineer by trade but I've always had the spirit of an entrepreneur.

It wasn't until 2012 that I realized the true power of entrepreneurship in my own life. I left my corporate job as a software engineer and became a consultant.

That one decision more than tripled my income for doing the same work that I was already doing. Only this time I was doing for myself, calling my own shots.

Because the success of that business came with such ease, I thought, why not start another one.

This time things didn't come as easy. I purchased a national salon franchise and this is where I learned a valuable lesson.

After pouring over $50,000 of my own money into the business only to see it fail, I learned that successful entrepreneurs use credit and funding NOT their own money.

They use lines of credit for payroll, borrowed capital for large equipment purchases, business credit cards to pay vendors. This was all foreign to me but I was determined to learn it.

I did all of the research and applied the steps to my own business first, then helped a few close friends get the same results and now you get to benefit from this wisdom.
